New STARsquad Coordinator and High Performance Swim Coach
STARplex is excited to announce the appointment of Stephen Garner as STARsquad Coordinator and High Performance Swim Coach who join us on Monday 19 December.
Stephen is an experienced coach and comes to us with many accolades to his name. He is currently upgrading his qualifications to Gold Licence coach (and once complete in April 2012) he will be one of only two Gold Licence coaches in South Australia. Prior to joining STARplex he coached for the 2010 Commonwealth Games Australian Team, where his swimmer Samantha Marshall achieved a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke.
"Coach Stephen Garner will not only bring knowledge and experience to the aspiring swimmers at STARplex but most importantly guidance and inspiration to those he will be coaching.” said Leigh Nugent (Head Coach Swimming Australia) on hearing of his appointment.
Stephen is very much looking forward to developing the STARsquad program into the benchmark competitive swim program for South Australia.
This is a fantastic opportunity to raise the profile of STARplex and Trinity competitive swimming. Welcome aboard Stephen. More information.
