Results Week three:

Trinity Open A 49 defeated St Paul’s 27
The first knockout game of the season is always a nerve-racking time for any team and Trinity were up to the challenge. St Paul’s were hit early with a bombardment of three’s from both Angus Fischer and Daniel Ebert which really set the tone for the start of the game. The St Paul’s defenders also had to deal with lightning quick point guard Jordan Smith as he weaved his way to the basket early on.  The offense was executed well by the whole team and defensively Trinity made it difficult for the opposition to score any baskets within a structured set only allowing the odd basket off of an offensive rebound or broken play.
The early lead in the game gave an opportunity to share the minutes amongst the group which was a way to get everyone involved. There were many solid performances on the day and players such as Myles Thiele and Finau Hafoka really played their roles well. Trinity pulled away in the end winning 49 to 27.

Top Scorers: Angus Fischer 14, Jordan Smith 11, Daniel Ebert 10.
